Grampians Health Edenhope’s Acute ward has recently received some gorgeous new bedspreads, thanks to the generosity of staff members Registered Nurses Liz Smith and Sophie Conallin and Chef Anna McDonald.
These three ladies were awarded Employee of the Year or Cultural Champion. Part of these awards is an allocation of $2000 each to spend on a project of their choice for the facility.
“The previous bed spreads in the Acute ward were looking tired and needed updating” said Liz
“So we got together and with the help of Wendy Cryer from Hotel Service were given a number of suitable designs to pick from.”
“Initially we were going to go with two designs but we all really liked this one and now they will all match nicely,” said Sophie.
“With the recent redevelopment of Lakeside Living, it is nice to be able to provide these bedspreads to the Acute ward to freshen it up a bit,” said Anna.
Director of Nursing at Grampians Health Edenhope Joseph Bermudo was delighted with the selection of bedspreads.
“I am so grateful to these ladies for choosing to use their award money for this project. They look great and give a modern and inviting look to the rooms.”
“Thank you Liz, Sophie and Anna for this great initative,” said Joseph.
