Life Governance Awards

Congratulation to Kate, Tony & Christine

After years of service to the Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital board two former and one current board directors were presented with Life Governance awards of Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital at the Year in Review meeting on Friday night.

After 12 years as a board director and 3 of those years as Chair, Tony Kealy received one of these awards. Tony could always be relied on for his community connections and sensible and practical solutions to complex problems. He was a great asset to the board. Tony’s father Charlie Kealy was also a recipient of a life governance award.

The second recipient, former board member Kathryn (Kate) Hausler was a member of the board from 2009 –2018. Kate continues to play a very active role within the Hospital and the Community and is a strong advocate for her community. Known for always crossing her T’s and dotting her I’s the board could be confident that Kate had gone through all information with a sharp eye.

The third recipient is current board director Christine McCann. Chris is a reliable board member who regularly represented the board at community and staff functions. She played a vital role in the community consultations for the Strengthening Partnerships and Care for our Region project. Chris is always extremely thorough when reading through policies and procedures.

Chris has strong passion and commitment to the organisation and plays an active role on many committee’s.

Board Chair Philip Sabien who presented the awards said “these three recipients were well deserving of the award as they have played an integral part to the success and growth of Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital.”
