Learn more about proposed new health service for the Grampians at online hub

New website is launched

The boards of Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital, Stawell Regional Health, Wimmera Health Care Group and Ballarat Health Services have launched a new online hub for the community to have further say in the future of healthcare in the region.

careforourregion.com.au will share vital information about how the proposed entity can deliver better healthcare, enhanced services and advance careers, closer to home.

The website will also support further engagement with staff and the community, above and beyond extensive consultation already undertaken in each local area.

This will include ongoing dialogue with staff, one-on-one discussions with key organisations and representative groups, and regular and direct communications to keep the community informed.

Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital, Stawell Regional Health, Wimmera Health Care Group and Ballarat Health Services currently service the healthcare needs of more than 250,000 Victorians. Between them, they employ more than 6,304 people at 21 campuses and sites.

The aim of the proposed new health entity is to provide communities with safe, sustainable, healthcare tailored to their changing workforce and community needs, for the long term.

“The new Care For Our Region website provides a central hub for our community to get accurate, up-to-date information about the proposal.”  said EDMH board chair Philip Sabien.

“We hope this will give our communities a greater understanding of where we have come from, the need for this change and the benefits of the proposal.”

To find out more about the proposed health entity and to have your say and ask questions, visit careforourregion.com.au.
