Not sure if you have COVID-19 and want to know more about getting tested, please see below information that might help


Rapid Antigen Testing

Everyone’s first option should be to use a rapid antigen test.

They are quick and highly accurate, particularly if you have symptoms or if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19.

  • If you have symptoms or you are a contact, and you can't access a rapid antigen test, you should get a PCR test.
  • If you can't access either test at the moment, isolate at home until you can.

Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital have a supply of Rapid Antigen tests from Grampians Public Health Unit which are available free for community members who are:

  • Casual contact – box of 5 and to test for the 5 days
  • House hold contacts - box of 5 tests per person in the house. To test on day 1 and day 6 and it is suggested that they test on some of the days in between.

If you are eligible to receive your free test kits please contact the hospital on 55859800 to arrange collection of your kit.


PCR Testing

Important – COVID-19 PCR testing at Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital is by appointment only.  To make an appointment, please call 03 5585 9800


Test Tracker

All individuals requesting RAT tests or a PCR COVID-19 test need to complete the online registration form as required by the Department of Health. This form provides you with a unique registration number (URN) and you can use this number each time you attend the hospital for COVID-19 tests. This number will be unique to you and remains valid for 90 days.


Completing the Registration to obtain your unique registration number (URN)

  • To register for your click here and complete the questions
  • You will then receive a text with your unique registration number (valid for 90 days and can be used for multiple tests)
  • If unable to complete registration yourself, call the COVID clinic (1800 512 424) for assistance or call the Health & Wellbeing Hub 5585 9830 to arrange an appointment for assistance.
