Andrew Lloyd announced as 2022 Grampians Health Edenhope Employee of the Year

Grampians Health Edenhope on Friday recognised employees who have achieved work milestones through their long years of service or have strived for excellence at work.

Staff members celebrated the occasion during a BBQ Christmas lunch on the hospital lawns. The weather was perfect for the get together as the Grampians Health employees celebrated and acknowledged their achievements over the past year.

Staff who have achieved a work milestone were awarded a certificate, gift and flowers.

Both the awards are presented to employees who have gone beyond their duties and demonstrated behaviours that have delivered a positive outcome for the residents and patients, co-workers and the organisation.

Both the Employee of the Year and Cultural Champion awards are selected via nominations submitted by peers, who have recognised the significant contribution that these nominees make to the wellbeing of our residents and patients, their teammates and the organisation.

The executive team assesses each nomination and selects a recipient for each award, making it an extremely special accolade to receive. The successful employee of the year received a $250 award, and will be allocated $2000 to go towards a Hospital Project of their choice.

“The leadership team had a difficult decision to make with so many deserving nominees,” said Claire Woods, Chief People Officer, Grampians Health.

“It is heartening to see the commitment and dedication that our employees demonstrate everyday to improve outcomes for our residents and patients as well as for Grampians Health.”

Grampians Health Edenhope’s Employee of the Year 2022 was awarded to Andrew Lloyd who has continually shown commitment to the organisation and is always willing to go above and beyond.

A member of the maintenance team at Grampians Health Edenhope, Andrew regularly and consistency voices his appreciation and gratitude to his workmates and actively promotes a positive work culture in all of his dealings with others.

Only having been a part of the team since the start of the year, Sophie Conallin, a Registered Nurse at Grampians Health Edenhope, was awarded the 2022 Cultural Champion. Sophie has readily embraced leadership and has stepped up to fill in for various roles when they have become vacant. Sophie embodies the Grampians Health values and is an absolute pleasure to work with.
