Dr Ajai Verma

Previously Ajai has worked in a variety of metropolitan and regional hospitals, as well as community practices, in a variety of medical and surgical roles. He obtained a Master of Surgery in 2013, a Diploma of Child Health in 2015 and completed his Fellowship training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2018.

Outside Ajai's occupation and his work on the EDMH board he currently sits on the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Victorian Faculty Board and the Executive of the Melbourne High School Old Boys' Association GM&B Patrons Club (Mentor Program Portfolio) a coterie group that acts as a think tank to the School.

Ajai enjoys travelling, reading, spending time with my family and am an avid sportsperson (AFL, cricket, soccer, golf and sprinting); nowadays, he spends more time chasing his two-year old son than he does in the gym!

Ajai brings to the board extensive executive, director and governance experience, which is underpinned by several years of clinical practice in a variety of metropolitan and rural settings. He has a particular interest in and experience in stakeholder engagement, risk management, medico-legal issues and health informatics.

With EDMH as the centre of the Edenhope community, as well as other surrounding locales. Moving forward, Ajai hopes to help EDMH evolve to meet the ever-dynamic holistic healthcare needs of the community, particularly in providing gold-standard aged care to our valued senior residents.
