New nursing faces at the hospital

Recently EDMH has welcomed 5 new nurses to their team Peter, Shirley, Sohil, Ovesh and Shiji.

Peter and Shirley are originally from New Zealand and have recently been appointed as associate nurse unit managers. Shirley is highly qualified and has been a nurse since the age of 17.

It's About Time

Throughout the past few days we have heard some alarming statistics on Diabetes.  This week it is National Diabetes week in Australia and Diabetes Australia has launched it’s new campaign ‘It’s about time’.

Type 2 diabetes being a leading cause of vision loss, kidney damage, heart attacks, stroke and limb amputation.

Farewell Kerry!

Last week we farewelled another of our long time staff members.  Kerry Chaston (pictured with daughter Teagan who has recently joined the Lakes Hostel team.) commenced at the Lakes Hostel when it first opened, 20 March 1997.
