Testing clinic for COVID-19 in Edenhope

Edenhope & District Memorial Hospital will be running a drive-thru coronavirus (COVID19) testing station next week. 

This is being run as a part of the Victorian Government blitz to test up to 100,000 people in two weeks to help authorites understand more about the spread of the virus.

People who can be tested are:

  • Farm workers
  • Healthcare workers
  • People with chronic conditions
  • Aboriginal and Torres strait islanders
  • Retail workers
  • General labourers and construction workers

Due to the difficulties of obtaining swabs for younger children, drive through testing will only be available for children over the age of twelve years. Parents and carers of children under 12 years of age who would like to be tested should contact their Doctor.

If you get tested and don’t have symptoms you will not have to self-isolate

If you have Covid-19 symptoms you will need to self-isolate.

Testing will be done at the entrance to Elsie Bennett Centre and you must remain in your car.

  • No appointment is necessary
  • You will be required to provide your Medicare details so please bring your Medicare card
  • Follow the direction of the signage and as directed by staff
  • A nurse will ask you some questions and take your temperature
  • Tests may be limited per day

Testing times are between 10.00-12.00 am and 1.00-3.00 pm

  • Tuesday 5th May,
  • Wednesday 6th May
  • Thursday 7th May
