EDMH Medical Clinic now have two doctors

Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital CEO Kevin Mills would like to thank the community for their support of the Hospital’s Medical Clinic

“The clinic of late has been very busy, besides employing locum doctors to support Dr Lalani we have had to put on extra staff at the clinic to assist.” Said Mr Mills

“We would like say thanks to the community, support is vital for us to continue providing 7 days a week round the clock care.”

“We are currently finalising negotiations with a permanent second doctor, we hope to be announcing their appointment in the next week.”

The overwhelming response along with feedback from patients and community has prompted the clinic to continue employing locum doctors to assist Dr Lalani until we have a permanent doctor.

“Ongoing we will now have two doctors at the Medical Clinic.  Either the locum doctor or the new doctor will work alongside Dr Lalani in the clinic and provide on call and after hours support to the hospital.” said Mr Mills.

“To ensure the future health and wellbeing of the Hospital and Aged Care residents, as well as the entire Edenhope and district community, we believe that it is vital to provide a doctor service at all times.”

“Visiting the Medical Clinic will not cost you anything, all consults are fully bulk billed even if you do not have a concession card.”

“We are really proud of the service that we provide to the community either through the clinic, the hospital or our Primary Health Services.”

“If there is a service you would like available locally and it not currently on offer, please let us know.”

Feedback forms are located at the front office of the Hospital or in the medical clinic and can be posted in one of the suggestion boxes located at the front office, Elsie Bennett Centre or Medical Clinic.
