Join us to end men's violence against women

Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital, together with Victoria Police, have organised an event to help raise awareness of White Ribbon Australia’s work to end men’s violence against women.

On Monday, 27th November, we will be walking from West Wimmera Shire Council Offices, Elizabeth St, Edenhope, to Elsie Bennett Centre, Lake Street.

The walk will leave the Shire Offices at 1 pm, and participants will finish up the Community Centre at 1.30 pm for afternoon tea.

All are welcome to join us at the Centre to listen to Julie Bruce discuss Domestic Violence in our community. It would be great to see some men join in our walk!

“Violence against women is at epidemic proportions. Devastatingly, over 12 months, on average, one woman is killed every week in Australia as a result of intimate partner violence,” Julie said.

Donations will be collected at the Centre for White Ribbon. All funds raised will support primary prevention initiatives in schools, workplaces, and the broader community.

Those who wish to support the critical work of White Ribbon Australia in the prevention of men’s violence against women can also make a tax-deductible donation at www.whiteribbon.org.au/donate.

Don’t forget, in an emergency, call the police on 000.
